The Business Development Manager Virtual Data Room (VDR) will focus purely on new sales in the Swedish market. You will be responsible for selling secure virtual data room solutions to businesses in various industries, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), real estate, legal, financial services, and more. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of VDR and its use cases with excellent communication and sales skills.
You will identify prospects, manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, and build long-term relationships with clients to ensure successful adoption and retention of the Admincontrol VDR platform.

Responsibilities and tasks
Working with the Swedish Country Manager and the Virtual Data Room sales team:

Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and target potential Swedish clients through inbound leads, cold calling, networking, and researching new market opportunities. Utilise CRM tools to manage and track prospects. -
Sales Presentations & Demos:
Conduct product demos and presentations, effectively communicating the features, benefits, and value proposition of the VDR solution. Tailor presentations to meet the specific needs of each client. -
Consultative Selling:
Use a consultative approach to understand client pain points and propose customised VDR solutions that align with their business goals and requirements, such as secure document sharing, collaboration, and compliance needs. -
Sales Cycle Management:
Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through to closing the deal. This includes negotiating contracts, addressing client concerns, and ensuring the deal aligns with the customer’s needs. -
Client Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention. -
Market Intelligence:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential challenges clients may face. Use this knowledge to position the VDR product effectively and remain competitive in the market. -
Sales Reporting & Metrics:
Track sales activities, progress, and results using CRM tools. Provide regular updates on sales targets, opportunities, and challenges to sales leadership. -
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure a seamless sales experience for the client and to gather insights for improving product offerings.
About you
To be successful in your application for the Business Development Manager Virtual Data Room you should be able to exhibit the following:

Sales Experience:
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, ideally in the SaaS, technology, or financial services industries. Experience in selling complex solutions, such as virtual data rooms, cloud-based platforms, or secure document management systems, is a plus. -
Technical Proficiency:
A strong understanding of virtual data room technology, document management systems, and secure collaboration tools. Ability to explain technical aspects of the product in a simple, compelling way to non-technical clients. -
Consultative Selling:
Ability to approach sales with a consultative mindset, focusing on understanding the customer’s business needs and proposing tailored solutions. -
Communication & Presentation Skills:
Fluent Swedish verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and decision-makers. -
Negotiation Skills:
Proven ability to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to close deals while maintaining positive client relationships. -
CRM & Sales Tools:
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and report on progress. -
Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented:
Highly motivated to meet and exceed sales targets. Able to work independently and as part of a team. -
Industry Knowledge (preferred):
Familiarity with industries that commonly use VDRs, such as M&A, legal, real estate, private equity, and finance, is a significant advantage.
